THE 2010 INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON STATISTICAL GENETICS AND METHODOLOGY OF TWIN AND FAMILY STUDIES: THE INTRODUCTORY COURSE
Software
The primary software used at the Workshop was R with OpenMx.
R can be obtained from
http://www.r-project.org. It is open source, and freely available for several Unix platforms (including Linux), Mac OSX, and Microsoft Windows. To download it, go to an
CRAN mirror near you.
OpenMx is an R package available from
http://openmx.psyc.virginia.edu/. It is available for R running on x86 and x86_64 Linux; x86, x86_64, and PPC Mac OSX; and x86 Microsoft Windows. To download it, go to the
Downloading page at the OpenMx website.
Presentations
Scripts and presentations from the 2010 International Statistical Genetics Methods Workshop. These are the scripts as originally provided by the faculty. To facilitate cross platform use, Power Point files have also been provided as PDF files. In some cases the original presentation is a PDF file.
The files have been organized by the name of lead faculty presenter. The schedule can be used as a guide to link faculty members to lectures.
Due to the rapid development of OpenMx, some of the scripts posted here are already out of date, and do not function as expected.
