Instructions for using the IBG Display TVs
IBG has display TVs in rooms 210 and 261. The instructions for using them are identical.
Use the remote control or the power button on the back of the TV, on the lower left corner to turn it on.
Use the remote control or the input button, below the power button, to select the input source.
Connecting by wire
HDMI cable
A wired HDMI connection is capable of using the TV's full 4k display resolution.
The TV needs to be set to the “Wired” input.
Plug the HDMI cable into the computer, using an adapter, if necessary.
VGA cable
A VGA cable options is available for backward compatibility.
Connecting with the wireless HDMI
This method attaches the TV to a computer as if it were plugged in directly, except without the trouble of using a wire.
The TV needs to be set to the “Wireless” input.
Plug the wireless HDMI dongle into the computer, using an adapter, if necessary.
Connect the USB cord from the wireless HDMI dongle to a USB port on the computer.
The wireless should connect within 15 seconds.
Connecting with Google Cast
Though the TV supports Google Cast, the CU wireless network is not compatible with Google Cast. A fix is being investigated.
Google Chrome or other Google Cast compatible applications can be used to “cast” the computer's desktop, browser tab, or video to the TV. This is similar to using Google's Chromecast media device.
