Enrollment

The Longitudinal Twin Study of Early Reading Development is no longer enrolling families. During our enrollment process, the twins met the following requirements:

  • Twins must be the same sex
  • Twin must be born in Colorado
  • Twins must be tested initially in the year before they start kindergarten (typically age 4 or 5)
  • Twins must live in the Colorado Front Range, no further south than Colorado Springs, and no further north than Ft. Collins.

During the initial visit families are paid $100 for their time. Follow up visits occur near the end of kindergarten, first, second and fourth grade. Families are paid $30 for the follow up visits. Here is a brief overview of the tests we conduct.
