Description of Test: This database records the
examiner's assessment of the completion of the tests given
during the lab visit.
NOTE: No formal description of the
LAB Visit Card procedure exists in the MALTS procedure document.
Individual examiners completed the LAB Visit Card during and
after the visit to the laboratory. To see the description
from the MALTS procedure document of how the ratings were to be
completed, move there.

Articles: The following articles cite or use data from the Lab Visit Card Ratings procedure (Includes Weight measurement and Electrode Ratings):
Still to be addedVariable Names: Variable names from this
database have the prefix V1LVC. The data set has 344 families and 43
variables. Data were collected as part of a lab visit of 14 month old
twins. The variables include: test date, bib color (for twin 1 and
twin 2), weight (for twin 1 and twin 2), bib complaints and electrode
complaints (for twin 1 and twin 2), an rating of overall testing,
anger, and shyness (for twin1 and twin 2), an evaluation of each of
the 14 tests (Baby Stimulation, Mother Empathy, Stranger Entry,
Examiner Empathy, Mike, Prohibition, Anger Stimulation, COG Heart Rate
1 & 2, COG Word Comprehension 1 & 2, COG Sort 1 & 2, and COG Memory)
administered (for twin 1 and twin 2), and a comment field.
NOTE: This data set was originally organized by FAMILY, not
individual twin. Data has been split into two parts
corresponding to the individual twins for merger with the individual
twin-level file. Only variables identified as Twin 1 variables
will be present in the Twin level data set (except for TWIN1ID &
TWIN2ID).

names from this database.
Cleaning: The data have been examined to
ensure that the values of the variables are within range.
Compatibility of the problem codes with the actual databases of
each test will be examined.
Composites: There are currently no
composite variables defined from the LAB Visit Rating
procedure.

At the conclusion of each lab, the examiners gave the children three ratings; one for shyness which ranged from not shy to very shy, one for the placement of electrodes which ranged from a score of 1 (easily put on) to 4 (refusal) and an overall mood rating ranging from a high score of 7 (marked and pervasive positive) to a low score of 1 (marked and pervasive distress).
