Connecting by Wireless HDMI

At the moment, wireless HDMI is only available in room 210. If there is demand, a similar setup can be put in room 261.

A wireless HDMI dongle is available in room 210 to allow a computer to connect to the TV without the need for any wires. This has the advantage of not requiring the presentation computer to be in reach of the cable from the TV. The wireless HDMI only supports a 1080p (1920×1080) resolution, instead of the full 4k (3840×2160). The lower resolution should be adequate for almost all purposes.

Connect the Wireless HDMI Dongle

Plug the wireless HDMI dongle into the HDMI port on a computer. If necessary, use an adapter. Then connect the USB cable from the HDMI dongle to any available USB port. Once connected and powered the blue light on top of the dongle will come on. It can take up to 15 seconds for the wireless dongle and receiver to synchronize.

Selecting the Input Source

The input source should be set to “wireless”.
