Course Information

The next workshop will be held in Boulder, Colorado, March 2 – 6, 2009, with John Hewitt as local host. Pak Sham serves as the Academic Director for the workshop and is joined by approximately a dozen outstanding faculty from universities around the world.

This advanced course is intended for those who have attended earlier workshops and/or who are already familiar with the statistical and genetic principles for studying univariate and multivariate twin and family data. This course will emphasize QTL analysis in the context of twin and sibling studies as well as other designs such as case-control genome-wide association studies.

The Twin Workshop will once again be held at the Millennium Harvest House Hotel in Boulder.

Travel Information

Air

The closest airport to Boulder is Denver International Airport (DEN), which is approximately 45 miles from Boulder.

If you do not live near a hub airport, your best option for getting a non-stop flight to Denver is on United, Frontier, or Southwest airlines.

Ground Transportation

There are several options to get to Boulder from the airport:

Linked are driving directions for taking the E-470 Tollway ($6), or I-70 from the airport to the hotel. The tollroad is quicker and has less traffic than I-70.
