====== Instructions for using the IBG Display TVs ====== IBG has display TVs in rooms 210 and 261. The instructions for using them are identical. =====Turning the TV On and Selecting an Input===== Complete documentation is on the [[TV details]] page. - Use the remote control or the power button on the back of the TV, on the lower left corner to turn it on. - Use the remote control or the input button, below the power button, to select the input source. =====Connecting by wire===== Complete documentation is on the [[connecting by a wire]] page. ==== HDMI cable ==== A wired HDMI connection is capable of using the TV's full 4k display resolution. - The TV needs to be set to the "Wired" input. - Plug the HDMI cable into the computer, using an adapter, if necessary. ==== VGA cable ==== A VGA cable options is available for backward compatibility. ===== Connecting with the wireless HDMI ===== Complete documentation is on the [[connecting by wireless HDMI]] page. This method attaches the TV to a computer as if it were plugged in directly, except without the trouble of using a wire. - The TV needs to be set to the "Wireless" input. - Plug the wireless HDMI dongle into the computer, using an adapter, if necessary. - Connect the USB cord from the wireless HDMI dongle to a USB port on the computer. - The wireless should connect within 15 seconds. ===== Connecting with Google Cast ===== Though the TV supports Google Cast, the CU wireless network is not compatible with Google Cast. A fix is being investigated.Google Chrome or other [[https://www.google.com/cast/|Google Cast]] compatible applications can be used to "cast" the computer's desktop, browser tab, or video to the TV. This is similar to using Google's Chromecast media device.
