COLUMN DESCRIPTION SOURCE
1-3Family
Identification Number
Assigned
at Entry. For each 3 digit number there are 2 families, an adopted
group and a control group. These numbers begin at 001 and go through
907, although there are no numbers in the 800s. There are also several
bfad numbers which begin at 950. These were assigned to siblings
who were adopted into already participating families. Individuals
with 950+ numbers have 2 FADNUMs. One that relates to the original
family number and a separate 950+ number (or BFADNUM) that identifies
them as proband status participants.
