Longitudinal Twin Study of Reading Difficulties (RD) and Attention Defecit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

This study is unique in that it is the first to assess these longitudinal relations and outcomes within a genetically informative sample selected specifically for RD and/or ADHD symptoms.

Our purpose is to learn more about the causes of stability and change in reading disability, as well as about some of the consequences. Twins who participated in the Colorado Learning Disabilities Research Center (CLDRC) approximately five years ago are being contacted for this follow-up research study. Assessment includes tests of:

  • reading performance
  • reading comprehension
  • spelling
  • reading component processes
  • general and specific cognitive abilities
  • psychological functioning
