Dr.
Kenneth Krauter is known for his work on the Human Genome Project
and for work in the area of Molecular Genetics. Before moving to
Colorado in 1995, he was co-director of the Human Chromosome 12
Genome Center, responsible for developing genetic and physical maps
of human chromosome 12. He also spearheaded construction of a physical
map of chromosome 18 and has published papers using those data for
positional cloning and mapping a number of human disease genes.
He is currently the director of the DNA Sequencing and Bioinformatics
facilities in the Department of MCD Biology in Boulder.
